Joy to the World Fun Card Folds *VIDEO*

Hello everyone,  I've got a couple of simple but effective card folds to share today.  I've used the new Joy to the World paper collection from Paper Rose Studio for these, but anything you have will work.

The first card fold was inspired by 2 videos that I saw from - Iced Images and Crafting with Quilling Lady.  It's a very easy card fold to make and could be used for any occasion.  Those little pens the animals are in could hold balloons, presents or a birthday cake for a birthday themed card, or Iced Images made it into a gingerbread house and Quilling Lady made a fall harvest card with crates.

The second card fold has a simple front cover but a fun inside pop up.  And again, it could be used for any occasion.

I've got all the details up in a video if you want to come join me there to see how these were made.  To watch the video PLEASE CLICK HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Rainbow Village Birthday Cards - 2 From 1

Hello again everyone, I've got some really fun, colourful birthday cards to share today.

These cards are an easy 2 from 1 project.  I started with the top card, which is a 5 x 7" card.  I cut the 5 x 7" background from one of the quick card collection papers (they are 6 x 8"), and saved the scraps.  I also cut a piece of white cardstock to be 5 x 7", and glued the patterned paper to this. I then die cut the circular opening, centering the die closer to the top.  I was unable to get my 5 x 7" card base through my die cutting machine, so that's why I created a front for the card.  On my card base, I trimmed off the front, leaving a 1/2" flap to attach the new die cut card front.  Save the die cut circle though, as that will be the focal point for the second card.

I cut a larger circle from white cardstock and used the same smaller die to diecut the center opening.  I fussy cut some of the flowers and leaves from the cut aparts collection and added these around the center opening.  I die cut the "Bah!" sentiment three times from white cardstock, stacked and glued them together, and attached them to the front of the card.  The remaining sentiments for both cards were done on my computer and I fussy cut those out.

For the inside of the card, I cut a small piece of wire and used a hot glue gun to attach some of the embossed die cut birds that were a part of the Quick Card collection.  I added the die cut sentiment below the middle bird.  I then glued the birds and sentiment in place so that just the center bird would show through on the front.  I fussy cut out some clouds to cover the attachment of the wire ( I used double sided tape to adhere the wire to the card).   Finally, I added in some musical notes above the birds.

For the second card, I used a 5 1/2" square card base.  I centered the strip of cardstock that remained from the first card, and added some gold foil strips above and below it.  I added foam tape behind the leftover circle from the first card, and again, added some of the fussy cut floral images behind it.  I popped the embossed bird die cut up on foam tape also, and attached him in the center of the circle.  Finally, I added in the sentiments. On the inside, I also added a few more of the embossed die cut florals and a Happy Birthday sentiment.  I love how bright and colourful these images are!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, and I hope I've given you some ideas on how to use this collection.
