Hello everyone, I've got 3 cards to share today, all featuring the Aimee Flower die from Paper Rose Studio. I wanted to try to come up with some different ways to use this die because I always think it's good to use our dies in many different ways. But I had many more ideas than just these cards - such as making the flowers out of vellum, adding only jewels to the centers, using patterned paper to die cut the flowers, etc. So let me show you what I did come up with.
Paper Rose Studio supplies:
Aimee Etched Flower Metal Cutting Die 30003,
Flower Shoppe Basics 6x6 Paper Collection 33678 ,
Alabaster White Shimmer Cardstock A5 10pc 29524,
Nesting Circles Metal Cutting Die 17424,
Blooming Blossoms Assorted Shimmer Cardstock A5 7pc 29748 For this card, I adhered one of the Flower Shoppe Basics papers to a 5 1/2" square card base and rounded the top two corners of the card. I then scored a line on the front at 2 3/4" from the straight edge (this is halfway up on the front), and then I folded this done in a mountain fold to create an easel style card.
I then used the largest circle die to cut a circle from the butterfly piece of paper from that same collection, and I used a smaller die with that same larger circle die, to also cut a circle frame from the Alabaster White Shimmer cardstock. I cut two more of these frames from white cardstock scraps and glued them all together with the Alabaster one on top. I then glued the frame in place over the butterfly circle, and then applied glue only to the lower half of this circle and adhered it to the card front below the score line. I love how when you stand up the easel card, the circle shape is accentuated.
Next, I die cut the Aimee flowers from the Blooming Blossoms cardstock and some from scraps of light pink cardstock. I used a ball stylus to shape the flowers and then added some foam tape between the layers. I cut all the centers from the Alabaster cardstock and shaped them as well. The leaves were cut from some inked pieces of cardstock. I assembled these flowers and leaves around the frame, and added a few pearl gems around the top. The small butterfly was fussy cut from one of the Flower Shoppe Basics papers. Finally, I die cut the "hello" three times from scraps of white cardstock and one from the Blooming Blossoms shimmer cardstock. I glued these layers together, and finally glued the sentiment inside the card to act as a stopper for the easel portion of the card.

Layered Happy Inked Small Metal Cutting Die 31587,
Rainbow Poppies A5 12pc Sentiment Sheets 25603,
Flourish 6x6" Stencil 19112,
Alabaster White Shimmer Cardstock A5 10pc Also used:
Liquitex Gloss Heavy Gel,
Distress Rock Candy Glitter This card started by cutting a piece of the Alabaster White cardstock into a 6" square. I did some ink blending onto this cardstock through the Flourish stencil, using a few different blue and teal inks. I then cleaned off my stencil and reapplied it over the pattern. I used the Liquitex gel to add a glossy layer and before removing the stencil, I sprinkled on the Distress Rock Candy glitter. I set this aside to dry and cleaned off my stencil and palette knife.
While the background was drying, I die cut the flowers from some scraps of blue cardstock, and shaped them with a ball stylus. The centers were cut from the Alabaster white cardstock and also shaped. I assembled the flowers again by adding foam tape between the layers, and behind the centers. I added a small circle of glue around the Alabaster centers, and then sprinkled on some blue seed beads and pushed them into a circle around the white centers. The leaves were cut from white cardstock scraps.
Once my background was dry, I brushed off any excess glitter, trimmed it to be 5 1/2" square, and then die cut the opening using the Vintage Label die. I also cut a frame for this from three layers of white cardstock, and inked one of them with the same blue and teal inks I'd used for the background. I also inked a scrap of white cardstock to die cut the sentiment from.
To assemble my card, I applied foam tape behind the stencilled background and attached it to the 5 1/2" card base. I glued the "happy" sentiment in place and cut out one of the Rainbow Poppies sentiments to fit below it. Then I adhered the flowers and leaves around the bottom of the die cut opening.

Perfect Pansies 3D Embossing Folder 32946,
Flourish 6x6" Stencil 19112,
Fancy Script Layered Wishes Metal Cutting Die 32457 This card started with some stencilling onto white cardstock using the Flourish stencil and the same blue and teal inks used in the second card. I die cut the flowers from this cardstock once it was dry, and then shaped them again with a ball stylus. I added foam tape again between the layers when I assembled them. I had an assortment of buttons in my craft room and decided to use these for the centers.
I found a piece of blue cardstock that I cut down and embossed with the Perfect Pansies 3D embossing folder. I brushed across the raised edges with a Hero Arts Unicorn White pigment ink pad to accentuate the embossed pattern, and then mounted this onto a card base. I glued the assembled flowers into place and added a few leaves. I die cut the Wishes sentiment from white cardstock three times and glued the layers together. Finally, I added the sentiment to the card front.
I hope I've been able to give you a little inspiration today on using the Aimee flower die, or really any other floral die you may have. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're all having a great day!
